Bangle Pairing

Just as you would pair a nice wine to a meal I feel it is essential to pair your bangles to your outfit. I have a few rhymes behind my reasoning, but everyone is different so find your own signature pairing by playing with different combinations. I also normally stick with a few staples and build around them everyday. Staples bring some sort of norm to the cluster, mine are my gold watch and an "E" initial piece or Monogram.

My rhymes to reason or wrist cluster (however you want to look at it):

When wearing more natural color scheme ie. Navy, Brown, Orange:
  • Staples
  • wooden or natural piece ie. Wood, bone, or gemstone
  • enamel piece (preferably one that brings out a color in a pattern you are wearing or just matches the main color of your outfit)
  • Gold pieces (if your staple time piece is silver add silver pieces)
  • Sparkle - add something with a jewel or rhinestone to give it flare!
When wearing black in a more formal way:
  • Staples (initial is a staple everyday, but if wanting formal look take out the timepiece)
  • Gold Pieces (add a simple bangle and maybe one with a different texture)
  • Possibly a link bracelet or statement bracelet to dress it up
  • Black Enamel Bangle or Black Beaded Bracelet
  • Colored Enamel Bangle- this will add another element to the look (possibly tie in your shoes or scarf)
  • Sparkle-add more of sparkle pieces to dress up or Pearls
A few examples below:
